Sing Me A Story
An immersive arts education program for students in grades 3–8, and for high school students interested in the arts. It pulls back the curtain on opera, with a behind-the-scenes look at the many roles that bring it to life.
Sing Me A Story began in 2022 as a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia. Over six weeks, opera singers visit the clubs to introduce students to opera, guide them in writing their own story, build props and costumes, and develop their characters. At the end, the students see their new operas performed for their peers.
